cube.wipeWithoutLogging

Wipes the data at a selection of intersections in a cube, without writing to the process log.

It wipes the same data as cube.wipe. The only difference is that cube.wipe writes a line to the process log for each call, saying how many intersections it cleared, and wipeWithoutLogging doesn't. Use it when a process wipes many times and those lines would clutter the log.

js
cube.wipeWithoutLogging(cubeName, ...elements)

Parameters

ParameterTypeDescription
cubeNamestringThe cube's name.
elementsstringOne element per dimension, in the cube's dimension order. Pass "" to wipe every element of that dimension.

Returns

string

An empty string when it succeeds, or an error message when it fails. Errors are returned but not written to the process log, so check the result.

Examples

js
cube.wipeWithoutLogging("Staging", "", "", "", "Load");
